The official charity partner of this year’s Glasgow Jazz Festival, ‘Help Musicians Scotland’ presents a free panel discussing how to build resilience surrounding your music career - putting your health and welfare before the needs of the industry and how time out for you doesn’t mean time out for your career.
The panel will take place on Saturday 22nd June from 2.30pm – 4.30pm at The Blue Arrow on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

Help Musicians UK is the leading UK charity for professional musicians of all genres, from starting out through to retirement. We help at times of crisis but also at times of opportunity, giving people the extra support, they need at a crucial stage that could make or break their career.
The Peter Whittingham Jazz Award is a £5,000 award for an emerging jazz musician or group to undertake a creative project of their choice that will support their professional development.
The award is open to emerging jazz musicians and groups with the musicianship, creativity, and ambition and commitment to developing a sustainable career in jazz. We are looking for artists who are at a tipping point in their career and who can demonstrate that their proposed project will help them reach the next stage of their career.
